1. Mahakaleshwar Temple (Jyotirlinga)

2. Mahakal Lok Corridor
The newly constructed 900-meter grand corridor connecting the temple to the city. Features 108 pillars with Shiva murals, fountains, light show, and Shiva Avataar gallery. Best experienced in the evening with lights.

3. Ram Ghat (Shipra Aarti)
The most sacred ghat on the Shipra river. The evening Shipra Aarti (6:30-7:30 PM) is a spectacular ceremony similar to Varanasi's Ganga Aarti but on a more intimate scale. Also the main bathing ghat for Kumbh Mela.

4. Kal Bhairav Temple
Unique temple where liquor is offered as prasad to Lord Bhairav. The idol is believed to drink the liquor offered by priests. One of the most unusual temples in India.

5. Vedha Shala (Jantar Mantar)
Built by Maharaja Jai Singh II in the 18th century, this astronomical observatory has 13 instruments for measuring celestial positions. Ujjain was historically the prime meridian of Indian geography.

One of the 51 Shakti Peethas dedicated to Goddess Annapurna. Famous for its two tall deepmalikas (lamp pillars) that are lit during Navratri.
7. Chintaman Ganesh Temple
Ancient Ganesh temple believed to be swayambhu (self-manifested). Popular for removing obstacles before starting new ventures.
8. ISKCON Temple Ujjain
Modern Krishna temple with beautiful architecture, daily aarti, and a peaceful atmosphere. Good vegetarian restaurant on premises.
9. Sandipani Ashram
The legendary school where Lord Krishna, Balarama, and Sudama studied under Guru Sandipani. Archaeological remains and a peaceful garden.
10. Mangalnath Temple
Considered the birthplace of Mars (Mangal) in Hindu astrology. Important for those performing Mangal dosha puja.
11. Gadkalika Temple
Ancient temple dedicated to Goddess Kalika, associated with poet Kalidasa who is said to have received his literary genius here.
12. Shipra River Cruise
