How we measured these distances

We placed the temple using its point on OpenStreetMap (the "Shri Chintamani Ganesh" place of worship), which agrees with the coordinates given on Wikipedia. We deliberately did not use the nearby OpenStreetMap point labelled "Chintaman Ganesh", because that is the railway station, not the temple. We then asked the open-source routing engine OSRM, running on OpenStreetMap road data, for the driving distance and time to every hotel in our verified set, using each hotel's checked map position. The run was made on 24 October 2026. A spot re-run gave the same figures within about 0.1 km, and for Hotel Maheshwari Avenue the hotel-to-temple direction came out at 6.6 km and about 9 minutes, which is why that row shows a range.

Two limits apply. OSRM times assume free-flowing traffic, and OpenStreetMap can lag behind new one-way rules or road works. Some hotel positions come from booking-site map data rather than a survey, and we mark those with a confidence level in our dataset.
